Why should we hire you?
We have been in business for over 8 years, and have filmed and edited over 300 weddings. You are not just paying for a video, you are paying for the peace of mind knowing that you have hired an experienced and trusted professional, who even in the most difficult filming conditions will be able to produce a high quality product. Amateurs often lack the equipment and experience required to handle filming conditions that are less than ideal.
What is the difference between a traditional wedding video and a wedding film / cinematic video?
Some companies use the two terms differently so it can be confusing... however, generally speaking, a wedding video can be considered as documentary style coverage of your wedding. Often a highlight video in this style will be like a montage showing the events of the day in a mostly chronological order. A feature length video of 60-120 minutes is commonly offered, which shows the ceremony and speeches in full, with multiple 5-10 minute montages of the preparation, photo session, dancing etc. The majority of the filming is done with tripod. You should expect to pay anywhere within $1000-3000 for a documentary style video depending on the coverage required. This is the style we offer.
A wedding film, or cinematic wedding video is a creative and artistic story crafted to highlight the emotion of the day and reflect upon the personalities of the couple. They tend to incorporate snippets of the speeches and vows, readings etc to build a story about the couple, with carefully selected music to match specific moods. Films often use gimbals, sliders, and drones to create cinematic movement in the footage that makes it more entertaining to watch than a traditional video. Films are usually 5 or 10 minutes long depending on the package chosen. The full ceremony and speeches may be included as separate video clips as part of the package or offered as an additional extra. Films require a far higher amount of work to film and edit, and therefore should command a price at least 2-3 times that of a traditional style video. Expect to pay $3000 - 4000 and onward. Each wedding film company has their own unique creative vision and style and expect couples to book them based on them liking their work, and demand a premium price in exchange for their work.
A traditional documentary style video provides an accurate recollection of the events of the day exactly as they happen at an affordable cost. If you would like to have your day documented to relive all the memories, a traditional wedding video may be your best option. Whereas if you'd like your own hollywood style movie about your love story and have the required budget, then a film may be for you.
